OpenAI raises additional money to bring record funding round to $120 billion, CFO tells Cramer
OpenAI has raised over $120 billion, surpassing its initial target of $100 billion, according to Friar on “Mad Money.” The investment announced in late February may be its final private fundraising before a significant initial public offering.
Microsoft, a key investor and computing provider for OpenAI, is participating in the funding round, with Friar praising their partnership and CEO Satya Nadella for his early support.

OpenAI is raising an additional $10 billion from investors as part of its historic funding round, CFO Sarah Friar told CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Tuesday.
The fresh capital brings OpenAI’s record fundraise to “north of $120 billion,” Friar said in an interview on “Mad Money.” This milestone surpasses the initial target of $100 billion and may be its final private fundraising before a significant initial public offering.
